ABOUT PAULOMI DEBNATH
The Artist behind the Brand

PAULOMI'S INSPIRATION

Hi, I’m Paulomi and I am a textile jewellery designer and maker.

From an early age, I've been captivated by the kaleidoscope of colours, likely influenced by my rich Indian heritage. I have an enduring love for the bold, the bright, and the intriguing, and this fascination permeates every piece I create.

What sets Handmade by Tinni apart is my unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. Each jewellery piece is meticulously handcrafted, an embodiment of dedication and artistry. To achieve that soft, tactile allure, I embrace age-old techniques like macrame and rope knotting, weaving them into contemporary designs that make a statement.

My dedication to excellence has been recognized on various platforms. In 2022, I was honored to be named one of the UK's most inspiring and dynamic female entrepreneurs as part of the f:Entrepreneur '#ialso100' campaign, an initiative by Small Business Britain.

My journey has also seen me win the prestigious Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday award and join the esteemed panel at Holly & Co, where I share valuable insights and inspiration with fellow small business owners.

Handmade by Tinni has been celebrated as one of the nation's 100 most inspiring small firms, earning the SmallBiz100 distinction from the Small Business Saturday UK campaign as it marked a decade of excellence.

In 2023, my dedication and craftsmanship were acknowledged once again, as Handmade by Tinni was proudly awarded the esteemed #EB100 inclusion. This accolade places us among the top 100 SME businesses in the UK, according to Elite Business Media.

Join me in celebrating the artistry of Handmade by Tinni, where vibrant colours and timeless craftsmanship unite to create wearable works of art. Thank you for being a part of this colourful journey!

PAULOMI'S VALUES

When I began creating my statement jewellery, I knew that I had to do so sustainably. Protecting our planet is no longer an option, it’s essential. As a small business, I ensure I’m eco-conscious in every decision I make. I chose cotton as my main design medium as it is sustainable & bio-degradable, soft to wear and anti-allergic.

My zero-waste collection ensures that every offcut is used so that I’m not wasting materials.

Handmade By Tinni is also committed to sourcing materials ethically and continuing to find ways to reduce my business’s carbon footprint. One way we do this is by supporting Ecologi, a wonderful organisation dedicated to reforestation. Together with Ecologi, Handmade By Tinni enables the planting of 5 trees per month.

For our sustainable efforts, we have been Handmade by Tinni has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 'The Purpose before Profit Award’ by The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.

My brand is all about sustainability and joyful colour. I believe that doing business ethically is the only way to do business. I am dedicated to creating a legacy of change for a cleaner, greener planet.

Here are the four ways we are striving to be planet friendly.
